Our SAFE Place is a non-profit organization located in Mexico, Missouri, which seeks to put an end to domestic and sexual violence. Founded in 1992, ACCIS provides vital services to Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Monroe, Montgomery, and Randolph counties. Services include emergency shelter, support groups, one-on-one peer advocacy, court advocacy, crisis intervention, hospital and law enforcement accompaniment, and other essential services. All services are free and confidential.

Voluntary Action Center helps to stabilize low-income families and individuals in Boone County by providing resources for basic and emergency needs in the areas of health, employment, education, and housing. They provide services such as: family assistance, emergency services, community programs, medical services, employment, education, and more.
Mid-Missouri Legal Services provides free civil (non-criminal) legal assistance to low income individuals/families for issues including housing, family law, public benefits, veterans’ benefits, consumer fraud, healthcare, children’s well-being, special education and relief from domestic violence.
