Legal Services of Southern Missouri

Legal Aid of Southern Missouri provides free civil (non-criminal) legal assistance to low income individuals/families for issues including housing, family law, public benefits, veterans’ benefits, consumer fraud, healthcare, children’s well-being, special education and relief from domestic violence.

Division of Developmental Disabilities

The Division of Developmental Disabilities implements a statewide system of supportive services that focus on assuring health and safety, supporting access to community participation, and increasing opportunities for meaningful employment. The Division offers evaluation and case management to individuals with developmental disabilities.

Children’s Advocacy Center of East Central Missouri (CACECM)

The Children’s Advocacy Center conducts forensic (fact finding) interviews, sexual abuse forensic examinations, advocacy, mental health referrals, case review and tracking, and community awareness and education regarding child abuse issues. 

First Steps

First Steps is Missouri’s Early Intervention system that provides services to families with children, birth to three years of age, with disabilities or developmental delays. The program is designed to meet the needs of families related to enhancing their child’s development, learning, and participation in family and community life.
